Ayodhya: As Ram temple inauguration nears local homes open doors for tourists

In anticipation of the upcoming consecration ceremony of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, several residents of the city have registered their homes as homestays to accommodate the expected influx of visitors in January.

Ayodhya's Ram Janmabhoomi Temple will soon be consecrated and locals are opening up their homes for visitors. More than 6,000 people are invited to the grand ceremony on January 22, 2024, as per ANI. To make sure everyone has a place to stay, 500 homes with 1,800 rooms have been offered as homestays by Ayodhya residents.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust included around 3,000 VVIPs and 4,000 seers in the list of invitees for the 'Pran Pratistha' ceremony.



General secretary of the Trust Champat Rai mentioned efforts to invite representatives from 50 foreign countries.

Invitations are also being extended to scientists, judges, writers, and poets.

The Trust also plans to honour the families of kar sevaks who lost their lives in the Ram Mandir movement.

Reports indicate that three idols of Lord Ram are currently being crafted, with two stones sourced from Karnataka and one from Rajasthan.

The installation of the idol of Ram Lalla (infant Lord Ram) is scheduled for the third week of January 2024, with the ceremony to be performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
