Aria of X:in: India-born enters K-pop industry. All you may want to know

It's no wonder that K-Pop industry has - in recent years - become one of the most popular entertainment pop niche. Similarly, due to its ever-emerging popularity and influence, several artists wish to thrive in this industry. One among the others is 'Aria' from X:IN.

Aria is a part of the female group X:IN. Previously, she was a member of MEP-C, an upcoming girl group that was formed via the Universe training platform.

Aria's Journey Thus Far

In early 2022, Aria (previously known as Ami while in GBK Ent.) joined GBK Entertainment and enrolled as a trainee on their online training platform called Universe. It came to light on November 29, 2022 that Aria had been selected as one of the five members of GBK's upcoming girl group MEP-C. Unfortunately, in early 2023, she decided to leave the group after her profile post was deleted.



Aria on March 7, 2023 was revealed to be a member of girl group X:IN, along with Nova, in the line-up reveal video for the 44th K-Stage Yes or No event, where the group would perform. Her membership in the group was officially confirmed on March 8, 2023, as the fifth and final member. X:IN debuted on April 11, 2023, with their first full-length album titled "Keeping the Fire".

Aria, birth name: Gauthami, is 20-year-old from Kerala. After BLACKSWAN's Sriya, she's the second Indian K-pop idol to find a way into K-pop industry. Her ethnicity and nationality became a sensation in Korean and Chinese circles, resulting in her viral popularity.
