Aprilia Tuono 457 Special Edition launched in India: Price, features and key changes explained

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia has launched the Tuono 457 Special Edition in India at an introductory price of Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra). Based on the standard Tuono 457, the special edition receives cosmetic updates, revised ergonomics and comfort-focused enhancements while retaining the same mechanical package.

Bookings for the motorcycle are now open at select dealerships across the country.

Aprilia Tuono 457 Special Edition: What's new?

The special edition introduces several styling and comfort upgrades, including:

• Two new colour options: Mamba Black and Puma Grey
• New graphics and revised branding inspired by the 2006 Tuono 1000R
• Smoked aerodynamic flyscreen above the headlamp
• Taller handlebar for a more upright riding posture
• Redesigned seat with high-resilience foam for improved comfort
• Adjustable front brake lever as standard
• Revised suspension setup tuned for Indian road conditions

Comfort and ergonomic updates

Aprilia says the motorcycle has been updated to improve everyday usability and long-distance comfort.

Key changes include:

• Higher handlebar position to reduce rider fatigue
• New seat design aimed at reducing vibrations and improving support
• Softer suspension initial stroke for better absorption of potholes and rough surfaces
• Recalibrated compression damping
• Preload adjustability at both the front and rear

Mechanically, the Tuono 457 Special Edition remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a:
