Apple is opening its first retail store in Delhi. This will be second such store in India after Apple has launched its flagship store in Mumbai. The store will be inaugurated on April 20.

The Apple store in Delhi will be spread over around 10,000 sqft, according to reports. Apple store at Jio World Drive in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai. Apple's flagship store is located in New York. It has a prominent outlet on London's Regent Street.


The opening of Apple store in Delhi also underlines the US giant's plan to expand in India with an aim to turn it into manufacturing hub.

The company has unveiled the barricade for the Apple Saket outlet. The company revealed that its design is inspired by Delhi's several gates. The barricade also contains a QR Code which customers can scan to check updates about the upcoming store and products.

India is one of the world's fastest growing smartphones markets. Apple generally sells its products in India through exclusive Apple Premium Reseller (APR) stores, large format retail chains like Reliance Digital, Croma etc, multi-brand retail stores and through e-commerce platforms, as per a report.

Both Apple retail stores in Mumbai and Delhi come 25 years after the company first started selling its products and services in the country through partners.
