Apple is rolling out the first beta version of iOS 16.5 for developers registered with their program, along with iPadOS 16.5 beta 1. This move by the Cupertino-based tech giant urges developers to update their apps to use new features and test them against API changes.

As per a Macrumors report, there are several changes in user experience, primarily, after updating to the first beta of iOS 16.5 - there's an all-new Sports Tab in Apple News which is going to be the cherry on the cake for sports freaks. Moreover, one can ask Siri to begin screen recording after this update.

iOS 16.5 beta 1 is expected to be available for all users in May. It should be noted that the final version may come with several new features since beta versions do not truly reflect the final version.


Apple ceased signing up for iOS 16.3.1 shortly after the release of iOS 16.4.1 to discourage iPhone users from reverting to the earlier software version, according to reports.

It aims to reduce the likelihood of potential security risks associated with the previous version, and users will not be able to install iOS 16.3.1 on their devices anymore.
