Apple, the California-based technology behemoth that is rumoured to be planning to unveil its first-ever Mixed Reality headset at its WWDC 2023 Summer event in June, may also release a more affordable variant by 2025.

According to a report, Apple is working on a new affordable Mixed Reality headset that could hit the market as the next-generation device in 2025. Meanwhile, the company was expected to release the Mixed Reality headset for between $2000 and $3000.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the first Mixed Reality headset would debut as expected and that the next generation headsets would include high-end and low-end models to appeal to a global audience.


However, the manufacturer has been following the strategy with its iPhone and iPad line-up for quite some time, including the SE, C, and other models. According to reports, the company intends to boost profits by introducing new models in various price ranges with higher volumes. It will also be interesting to see how the company differentiates between high-end and low-cost headsets.

According to reports , the Mixed Reality headset will be made of aluminium, glass, and cushions, and will feature cutting-edge technology such as Apple's M2 processor and a massive battery pack.
