Apple Introduces iPhone 17e and New iPad Air with M4 Chip: Specs, Features and Price
Apple Inc has unveiled the new iPhone 17e alongside an upgraded iPad Air powered by the M4 chip, expanding its product line with improved durability, enhanced performance and increased storage options.

iPhone 17e Launch: Price, Storage and Availability

As per the company, the iPhone 17e will start at $599 and comes with 256GB of storage as standard, double the base storage of the previous iPhone 16e and four times that of the iPhone 12.

Apple stated that pre-orders for the iPhone 17e will begin on Wednesday, March 4, with availability starting Wednesday, March 11.


The company highlighted that the increased base storage allows users to store more high-resolution photos, 4K videos, apps and games without worrying about space constraints.

iPhone 17e Specifications: A19 Chip, 48MP Camera and Ceramic Shield 2

According to Apple, the iPhone 17e features the latest-generation A19 chip, delivering improved performance for AAA gaming, 4K streaming and everyday multitasking.

The device comes with a 48MP Fusion camera system capable of next-generation portrait photography. It also supports iOS 26 and Apple Intelligence, which the company says is designed to help users create, communicate and complete daily tasks more efficiently.

In terms of durability, the iPhone 17e includes a Ceramic Shield 2 front, offering what Apple describes as three times better scratch resistance compared to the iPhone 16e. The handset is built with a durable aluminium frame and supports fast charging via USB-C, along with MagSafe compatibility.

Apple claims the device delivers long battery life, aimed at supporting extended daily use.

New iPad Air with M4 Chip: Performance and Display

Apple also introduced the new iPad Air powered by the M4 chip. The company stated that the M4 processor delivers significant performance improvements, including advanced graphics and hardware-accelerated ray tracing.

The 11-inch iPad Air will start at $599, according to Apple. Pre-orders for the device will also begin on March 4.

The iPad Air will be available in two sizes: 11-inch (27.59 cm) and 13-inch (32.78 cm), both featuring a Liquid Retina display.

iPad Air Features: Apple Intelligence, Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil Pro

As per the company, the new iPad Air supports Apple Intelligence and runs on iPadOS, offering what Apple describes as intuitive and productive user experiences.

The device is compatible with the Magic Keyboard, which includes a 14-key function row and a larger trackpad. It also supports Apple Pencil Pro, aimed at enhancing creativity and precision tasks.

Apple said the combination of the M4 chip and iPadOS enables users to handle demanding workflows, creative projects and entertainment with ease.
