Apple iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max: Expected price in India, launch timeline, major upgrades and more

Apple is reportedly preparing to launch the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September 2026. The launch event could also mark the debut of the company’s first foldable smartphone, which is being referred to in leaks as the “iPhone Fold” or “iPhone Ultra.”

While earlier rumours mainly highlighted upgrades related to cameras, processors, and battery performance, new reports are now shedding light on the expected pricing of the upcoming Pro models in India and other global markets.

Expected India Price of iPhone 18 Pro Max

The current iPhone 17 Pro Max was introduced in India with a starting price of Rs 1,49,900, while the iPhone 17 Pro debuted at Rs 1,34,900. If Apple follows a similar pricing pattern, In India, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to carry a starting price of around Rs 1,34,900, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could debut at approximately Rs 1,49,900.


Although leaks suggest Apple is trying to prevent a major increase in pricing, the company could still face rising manufacturing costs this year.

Expected Features and Upgrades

The iPhone 18 Pro lineup is expected to run on Apple’s upcoming A20 chipset, which may reportedly be manufactured using TSMC’s advanced 2nm process technology.

Leaks further indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro Max could feature a slimmer Dynamic Island, enhanced battery backup, upgraded camera hardware, and Apple’s next-generation modem. The smartphone is also tipped to include a more power-efficient LTPO+ display along with improved Apple Intelligence features.
