iPhone 17 Pro is available at an effective Rs 69,990 at Croma. Check exchange value, Rs 12,000 bonus, bank cashback and how to get the deal.

Apple's iPhone 17 Pro, which launched in India at Rs 1,34,900, is now available at an effective price of Rs 69,990. But there is an important catch. This is not a flat price cut, and buyers cannot simply walk into a store and pay Rs 69,990 for the phone. The offer is available through Croma and combines an exchange value, an additional exchange bonus and bank cashback. For customers with an eligible old iPhone, particularly an iPhone 15 Pro, the deal can bring the effective cost of the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro below Rs 70,000.

iPhone 17 Pro at Rs 69,990: How the deal works

Croma is offering the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro at an effective Rs 69,990 under its current promotional offer. The 512GB version is listed at an effective Rs 88,490. The Rs 69,990 figure is calculated after applying several benefits. Buyers can get up to Rs 44,500 as the exchange value for an iPhone 15 Pro, depending on its model and condition. Croma is also offering an exchange bonus of up to Rs 12,000.

On top of this, customers using eligible credit cards can receive Rs 4,000 in bank cashback. These benefits together bring the effective price of the 256GB model down to Rs 69,990 for eligible transactions.

What you need to get the iPhone 17 Pro under Rs 70,000

There are essentially three components behind the advertised price. First, you need an eligible old smartphone for exchange. Croma's offer gives an exchange value of up to Rs 44,500 for an iPhone 15 Pro. The actual value depends on the phone's variant and physical condition.

Second, there is an exchange bonus of up to Rs 12,000. The bonus is linked to the exchange value slab. Croma's terms show that the bonus can range from Rs 3,000 to Rs 12,000, with the maximum applicable when the old device has an exchange value of Rs 30,000 or more.

Third, eligible customers can get Rs 4,000 bank cashback. Croma lists ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank and AU Small Finance Bank among the cards eligible for the brand cashback. Specific card and transaction conditions apply.

So, the headline price is possible only when the buyer qualifies for the required exchange value, the maximum exchange bonus and the applicable bank benefit.

What if you don't have an iPhone 15 Pro?

The exchange value is not fixed for every customer. Croma says the device is assessed for its condition before the final exchange value is determined. If your old phone gets a lower valuation, the effective price of the iPhone 17 Pro will be higher. The exchange bonus also changes according to the value of the device being exchanged. For example, Croma's published slabs offer a Rs 3,000 bonus for an old device valued between Rs 3,000 and Rs 9,999, while a device valued at Rs 30,000 or more can qualify for the maximum Rs 12,000 bonus. In other words, you should not assume that every phone buyer can get the iPhone 17 Pro for Rs 69,990.

iPhone 17 Pro online price is much higher

There is another important distinction between the in-store and online offers. Croma's published offer lists the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro at Rs 1,26,490 on Croma.com, inclusive of the Rs 4,000 bank cashback. The 512GB version is listed at Rs 1,45,990 online. The lower Rs 69,990 figure is linked to the in-store exchange offer and its applicable benefits.

iPhone 17 Pro Max also gets a discount

The deal is not limited to the smaller Pro model. Croma is offering the iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB at an effective Rs 74,990, while the 512GB version is available at an effective Rs 94,990 under the promotional offer. For the Pro Max, Croma lists an exchange value of up to Rs 53,000 for an iPhone 15 Pro Max, along with an exchange bonus of up to Rs 12,000 and eligible bank cashback.

Free case and AppleCare+ discount

There are some additional benefits attached to the promotion. Croma says buyers of the iPhone 17 Pro series can get a Hyphen case combo worth Rs 3,499 at no additional cost. Customers can also get a flat 10% discount on AppleCare+, subject to the applicable terms. A six-month no-cost EMI option is also available under specified conditions, with the bank cashback applicable as per the offer terms.

Why the iPhone 17 Pro is getting cheaper

The price reduction comes as Apple moves to its next generation of Pro smartphones. Croma has launched the promotional pricing alongside pre-bookings for the newer iPhone 18 Pro lineup.

Apple originally launched the iPhone 17 Pro in India at Rs 1,34,900 for the 256GB model. The company has since moved on to its newer generation, leaving retailers with an opportunity to clear remaining iPhone 17 Pro inventory through exchange and promotional offers. Croma's offer is valid while stocks last, according to its terms and conditions.
