Annapurna Yojana Portal status online: The government of West Bengal has released the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme monthly installment on 1 July 2026. Under the scheme, around 1.3 crore eligible women have received ₹3,000 directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Amid this, the Annapurna Yojana status check has become one of the most trending keywords on Google as thousands of women.

Beneficiaries who have not yet received the installment should verify that their Aadhaar is linked to their bank account and that DBT services are active. It aims to improve economic support for low-income households.

How to check your name on the Annapurna Yojana beneficiary list

The Annapurna Yojana was introduced by the BJP government to provide a monthly allowance of Rs 3,000 to eligible women, replacing the ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ programme of the previous TMC regime. Women who have applied under the scheme can follow these steps to check their status:

Step 2: Open the status check section

Look for options such as "Beneficiary List", "Application Status" or "Status Check".

Step 3: Enter your details

What Is Annapurna Yojana?

Annapurna Bhandar Scheme is a flagship women's welfare scheme launched by the Government of West Bengal in 2026. Officially implemented as the Annapurna Yojana, the scheme provides monthly financial assistance of Rs. 3,000 to eligible women through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

The scheme aims to strengthen the financial security of women belonging to economically weaker households by helping them meet grocery expenses, healthcare costs, children's education, electricity bills, medicines, and other essential household needs. Annapurna Bhandar Scheme replaces the existing Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants generally need to:

  • Applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
  • Only women applicants are eligible under the scheme.
  • The age must be between 25 and 60 years.
  • Applicants may need to belong to economically weaker households.
  • Applicant should belong to a low-income or Economically Weaker Section (EWS) family.

26 lakh applicants rejected

Suvendu Adhikari also said 1.6 crore applications were received for the scheme, and 26 lakh of them were rejected on grounds of doubts over citizenship and domicile status.

Speaking at the official launch of the scheme at Netaji Indoor Stadium here, he said, “Twenty-six lakh applications under the Annapurna Yojana have been rejected. Scrutiny is necessary." "We cannot transfer taxpayers' money from the government coffers to non-Indians," Adhikari said, while justifying the rejection of 26 lakh Annapurna Yojana applications.
