Anil Kapoor was “nervous” during filming scenes with co-star Sobhita Dhulipala in ‘The Night Manager’, here's why

Anil Kapoor, known for his versatility, now plays an arms dealer disguised as a business magnet in the latest Disney+ Hotstar original series, ‘The Night Manager’. The programme pairs him with actor Sobhita Dhulipala, and the teaser shows their obvious chemistry, which has piqued the interest of many.

In one clip, the couple is shown kissing, while in another, he hits her.



And, while this is not Kapoor’s first time playing a character with grey undertones, his depiction of Shelly Rungta has earned him praise for keeping the audience guessing as they progressively uncover his persona. Despite his four decades of expertise, ‘The Night Manager’ put the challenge to him.


According to reports, Anil Kapoor admits that performing some of the parts with Sobhita was challenging. He said, “Sobhita and I had some difficult situations while filming, and I was worried to some extent since I had not done such scenes with any other actor before”.


He further stated that “Sobhita was so kind and beautiful that it helped me much”, “I may be seasoned, but young people do not often realise how much working with them and having their support benefits me. The longer you work in this industry, the more tough it becomes at times”.


'The Night Manager', directed by Sandeep Modi, also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Tillotama Shome, Saswata Chatterjee, and Ravi Behl. It is available on Disney+ Hotstar from February 17th.
