Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor’s four-storey bungalow in Mumbai’s Juhu is closely linked to his decades-long journey in the film industry and his family life. Spread across nearly 10,000 square feet, the property was built gradually as Kapoor acquired different floors of the building over the years.

The Juhu home, which was acquired for around Rs 30 crore in 2000, reflects a mix of vintage aesthetics, contemporary upgrades and personal memorabilia. The property has also become one of the well-known celebrity residences in the area.

For Kapoor, the bungalow holds considerable emotional significance. He has previously described the house as a result of his “sweat, blood and hard work”, rather than luck or shortcuts. According to Magicbricks, the actor bought the floors one by one as his career progressed before eventually turning the building into a complete family home.

Kapoor has also spoken about his decision to wait until he could afford his own home before marrying Sunita Kapoor. He has recalled entering the house for the first time while carrying their daughter Sonam Kapoor.

The interiors combine classic European influences with modern comforts. The house features a London-inspired den with dark wooden furniture, leather sofas, soft lighting and vintage-style decor.

The living room opens onto a balcony decorated with plants and carved wooden elements, adding a warm, traditional character to the space.

A rooftop garden brings a more tropical feel to the home, with greenery, comfortable seating and a bar counter. There is also a dedicated prayer space featuring a Lord Ganesha idol.

The property includes a private gym, where Kapoor has regularly worked out. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the space became particularly important as the actor continued his fitness routine at home.
