Jolie listed the compound in May with an asking price of just under $30 million. However, according to Mansion Global, the property has now been sold for $24.75 million. aThe sale price is only slightly higher than the $24.5 million Jolie originally paid for the estate, despite the property being listed at a significantly higher asking price.

The main house covers around 11,000 square feet and features six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. The property also includes a gym and a library, along with several other luxury amenities. Among its standout features are a wine cellar and a private patio attached to the primary suite. The patio offers expansive views of the Hollywood Hills and the Griffith Observatory. Jolie reportedly had a particular fondness for the library, making it one of her favourite areas of the home.

The residence is located at the highest point of the gated Laughlin Park neighbourhood in Los Feliz. The grounds are surrounded by mature trees and rose gardens, adding to the property's secluded setting. The estate also has a guest house, swimming pool and pool house. Other features include a tea house and a hidden treehouse, along with a separate garage and security station.

Home Designed In 1916

Architect B. Cooper Corbett designed the residence in 1916, while DeMille acquired it during the 1920s. The filmmaker later expanded the property after actor Charlie Chaplin moved out of the neighbouring residence. DeMille purchased that adjoining home and connected the two properties with a glass conservatory.

Who Owned The Property Before Angelina Jolie?

Before Jolie became the owner, the estate was reportedly home to novelist Richard Grossman and art consultant Lisa Lyons. The couple lived at the property for nearly three decades before eventually selling it to the 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ actress.
