Anand Mahindra reveals first look of 'all-electric' XUV 400

Earlier in August, the Indian auto major announced that it will launch five new electric Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) for both domestic and international markets, with the first four expected to hit the road between 2024 and 2026.

Industrialist Anand Mahindra shared a 15-second teaser of the 'all-electric' Mahindra XUV 400 on Twitter. It will be revealed on September 8.

The tweet was captioned, "Today is a very auspicious day, so delighted to announce another curtain-raiser coming your way soon…"



Twitteraties also came forward and praised Mahindra. One said, "We don’t need foreign brands, when Mahindra is creating history, proud to be Indian."


Another asked Mahindra to change the name of the new All electric XUV 400 to something like XUV 440 just to relate with '440 volt ka jhatka'.

Another said, "Indian automobile brands are making us all proud. Mahindra has become such an innovation powerhouse. Hats off to Anand Mahindra sir!"

One Twitter user asked for a new generation of Alturas G4 with modifications like-- improved 3rd row, with large window Area (same as Scorpio N), spare tyre, sky roof, good ride quality, and body roll. But requested not to change the exterior design.

Another user compared Mahindra and Tata and said, "Some real Competition for Tata Nexon. But even if Mahindra gets the pricing right beating Tata in terms of monthly sales won't be possible with their present waiting period for ICE vehicles."


Earlier in August, the Indian auto major announced that it will launch five new electric Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) for both domestic and international markets, with the first four expected to hit the road between 2024 and 2026.

The automaker had informed that the five electric SUV models would be introduced under two brands -- XUV and the all-new electric-only brand called BE. Legacy brands will come under XUV brand while the all new electric model would be rolled out under the BE lineage.

Mahindra also showcased its new INGLO platform that will underpin all the Mahindra EVs going forward.
