Anand Mahindra replies to ‘auto rickshaws are faster’ quip on Mahindra-owned hypercar

Anand Mahindra took to Twitter and wrote how interesting it was for Indians that Mahindra Rise conceived the whole idea for the Automobili Pininfarina

Mahindra acquired Automobili Pininfarina, the luxury EV maker, in 2015. It recently announced that its debut car is the fastest-accelerating EV in the world and the world's fastest street-legal vehicle.

However, according to one Twitter user, despite its big accolades, it will still be behind auto rickshaws when we talk about traffic in India and the jampacked roads. And Anand Mahindra agrees with him. Mahindra took to Twitter and wrote how interesting it was for Indians that Mahindra Rise conceived the whole idea for the project.

Friendly banter
Responding to this, a user commented about auto-rickshaws being faster than the fastest EV in Indian traffic. Anand Mahindra commented that he couldn't argue with that and added a smiling emoji. Auto rickshaws are small-sized, making them suitable for maneuvering through narrow lanes and tight corners in traffic. The Battista hyper GT can run 310 miles on one charge and has a top speed of 270 mph. The car hit 1-100 kph in 1.79 seconds.
