Mahindra and Mahindra chairman Anand Mahindra has praised a group of four IIT graduates that has created a game-changing solution for fitness enthusiasts who struggle with limited space. Anand Mahindra shared the smart gym Aerleap X on his social media account. The smart wall-mounted home gym is created by four IITians Aman Rai, Anurag Dani, Rohit Patel, and Amal George that offers a comprehensive fitness solution that can fit into even the smallest apartments or business hotel rooms.

As per the video shared by Mahindra, the gym merges mechanics with physical therapy principles to deliver over 150 exercises that target different muscle groups. The Aerleap X gym also includes AI-powered training sessions that track users' progress in real time, ensuring personalized workout routines.

Mahindra expressed his belief in the product’s global potential, highlighting its usefulness in environments with limited space, while noting the clever integration of technology and fitness expertise.


As per the startup website, the Aerleap X gym is priced at Rs 1,69,999. The gym and comes equipped with a barbell rod, rope, ankle straps, and d-handles. For users seeking additional features, optional accessories include an adjustable bench for Rs 10,000, a premium accessory holder for Rs 3,000, and a glass finish front panel upgrade for Rs 40,000. There’s also a Bluetooth pedal switch available for Rs 7,000, allowing users to wirelessly control the weights.

In addition to its compact design, the Aerleap X gym offers 100 hours of expert-curated content, helping users engage in a well-rounded fitness regime. With over 300 units sold across 20 cities, the startup has also attracted notable investor support, with Zerodha's Nithin Kamath acting as an angel investor.

This innovation marks a promising development in fitness technology, particularly in urban settings where space is at a premium. The success of these IITians reflects a growing trend of tech-driven fitness solutions that cater to modern lifestyles.
