Sharing the video on X, Mahindra joked that the owner had taken parking “to the next level”. According to reports circulating online, Manoj Yadav from Gopalganj, who works in Israel, had recently bought a Scorpio Classic. With no one available to drive or look after the SUV while he was abroad, his family apparently decided that the safest place to keep it was on the rooftop.
A crane was then brought in to lift the Scorpio and carefully place it on top of the house. The unusual sight was captured on video and quickly caught attention online.
Anand Mahindra has one big concern
Mahindra said he had always known that the Scorpio could climb almost anywhere, but admitted that this was taking the idea a little too literally.He also praised the family’s ingenuity and affection for the vehicle, giving them “full marks” for the unusual solution. However, he said he was worried about whether the roof was actually designed to bear the weight of an SUV.
Mahindra warns people not to try it at home
While the rooftop parking may have been an attempt to keep the Scorpio safe from theft, Mahindra ended his post with a clear warning: “Please don’t try this at (your) home!”The video has sparked plenty of reactions online, with many users amused by the sight of an SUV sitting on the roof of a house. However, the reports about why the Scorpio was moved to the rooftop could not be independently verified.
