The cricketer was spotted taking a material off Mohammed Siraj’s hand and smearing it on his left index finger. While the event sparked several debates, the ICC clarified that the cream was used for entirely medicinal purposes. The ICC also refuted allegations advanced by former cricketers that the cream was involved in tampering with the state of the match ball.
According to the ICC's official website, Jadeja was accused of having violated Article 2.20 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.
