In the viral video, students, clad in the uniform of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), are purportedly heard chanting the slogan after the hoisting of the Tricolour on campus, outside Strachey Hall.

Aligarh SP City Kuldeep Singh Gunawat said the university has been directed to take cognisance of the incident.
"A video from AMU has gone viral in which students in NCC uniforms are hard chanting a religious slogan. The university has been directed to take cognisance of the matter.
"An order has been issued to investigate the matter. Further action will be taken after investigation. The police have also gathered information about the incident," The Proctor of Aligarh Muslim University, Wasim Ali told ANI.
In another incident in Aligarh, a Muslim teacher at a government primary school in Iglas reportedly refused to sing the national anthem and offer floral tributes to pictures of Bharat Mata and Goddess Saraswati.
The incident took place in the school during Republic Day celebrations and a video clip of the incident has also gone viral on social media.
The teacher reportedly said that his religion allows him to bow his head only before Allah and he would not sing paeans to any other entity.
In the video clip, other teachers can be seen trying to persuade Hasmuddin to follow the rituals.
The government has ordered a probe into the incident.
"I have ordered a probe and will initiate stern action as soon as the report if given to me," Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Satyendra Singh told ANI.
