Amitabh Bachchan mocks Pakistan following India’s Asia Cup victory with well played 'Abhishek Bachchan'

However, the celebrations quickly spilled over to social media, where Amitabh Bachchan added his own twist by trolling Pakistan while humorously referencing his son, Abhishek Bachchan.

The tweet alluded to a viral gaffe by Pakistan’s former pacer Shoaib Akhtar, who during a sports show ahead of the final mistakenly mentioned “Abhishek Bachchan” instead of Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma while discussing strategies.

“If Pakistan manage to get Abhishek Bachchan out in a hypothetical situation, what happens to India’s middle order?” Akhtar had said, only to be corrected by the host. The slip quickly went viral, with Abhishek Bachchan joining the banter, writing: “Sir, with all due respect... don’t think they’ll even manage that! And I’m not even good at playing cricket.”

By referencing Abhishek’s witty reply while celebrating India’s Asia Cup triumph, Amitabh Bachchan cleverly relished the victory and continued the playful trolling that had taken social media by storm. Fans flooded his timeline with laughing emojis and patriotic cheers.
