Who is Radhika Merchant: Here’s all you want to know about her

Radhika Merchant’s Arangetram ceremony was recently hosted jointly by the Merchants and Ambanis in Mumbai at the Jio World Centre.

The Indian classical dancer is all set for her debut on stage with Reliance Industries boss Mukesh and Nita Ambani personally hosting the event.

For those of you who would like to know, Arangetram marks the graduation of a classical dancer with a debut stage performance, after successfully completing her formal training. The dancer can now officially train others.


Radhika is seen at almost all family events hosted by the Ambanis, and is the fiancee of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani.

Radhika was born in the Merchant family to father Viren Merchant and mother Shaila Merchant. Viren is the CEO of Encore Healthcare.

Radhika finished her schooling from Cathedral and John Connon School and Ecole Mondiale World School in Mumbai. She graduated from University of New York in Politics and Economics.

She became a trained classical dancer under the wings of Guru Bhavan Thakar of Shree Nibha Arts dance academy of Mumbai.

Radhika wore Manish Malhotra number for her debut stage performance. reports said

Radhika, who keeps a low profile, shares a special bond with Nita Ambani and her daughter Isha. Radhika took active participation in Isha’s wedding and performed alongside Isha and Shloka Mehta at the Sangeet Ceremony in Isha’s wedding in 2018.

Last year, RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani appointed his youngest son Anant as the director of Reliance New Solar Energy.
