With the release of its trailer, Prime Video, India's favourite entertainment platform, recently confirmed the worldwide premiere of its Amazon Original series, “Cinema Marte Dum Tak”.
The trailer transports viewers to the 1990s and offers them a never-before-seen look into the intriguing, thriving, and unrecorded world of Hindi pulp films, which enjoyed a devoted and passionate fan base throughout the nation.
The reality series offers a unique look at the vibrant and autonomous pulp cinema ecosystem of the 1990s. Starting on January 20, Prime subscribers in India and more than 240 other countries and territories will have exclusive access to the reality series on the platform.
In the series, four 90s filmmakers—J Neelam, Vinod Talwar, Dilip Gulati, and Kishan Shah—are coming together to rediscover the essence of the sensational films from the time. The program will recreate four old movies with comparable budgets and subjects.
The series will have six episodes and feature performers including Raza Murad, Mukesh Rishi, Harish Patel, and Rakhi Sawant sharing their perspectives on a lesser-known period in Indian film. Additionally, Arjun Kapoor makes a cameo as a host in the finale.
