Amazon Prime video to launch new comedy-drama this month

Prime Video will launch "Rangeen," a new comedy drama on July 25, according to a press release issued Tuesday. The show features Viineet Kumar Siingh, Rajshri Deshpande, Taaruk Raina, and Sheeba Chaddha in leading roles.

Amardeep Galsin and Amir Rizvi created and wrote "Rangeen," which Prime Video describes as a humorous exploration of love, loyalty, and self-discovery.

The story centers on Adarsh, whose life changes after he learns of his wife Naina’s betrayal. According to the streaming service, the series follows Adarsh’s journey as he questions his ideas about love and morality.


Kopal Naithani and Pranjal Dua directed the show, while Kabir Khan and Rajan Kapoor produced it.

"With 'Rangeen', we set out to tell a story that explores the grey areas of human connection—messy, flawed, and deeply real,” said producer Kabir Khan. “It’s a narrative that blends sharp wit with emotional honesty, challenging conventions while remaining deeply engaging. Nikhil Madhok, head of Originals, Prime Video India, stated “Rangeen\" is a refreshingly unconventional relationship drama, which is told with "wit, nuance, and heart". He added that the series offers a compelling look into the complexities of relationships and highlights Prime Video's commitment to authentic storytelling.
