Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh bust myth about marriage on 'Koffee with Karan Season 7'

Bollywood's brewmaster is back with another season of his popular talk show.

Some of India's top celebrities will grace the popular couch this season. Among the A-listers to first appear on the show are Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.

Sharing the trailer, Johar wrote:" Alright everyone, brace yourself as Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and I are ready to dish out some steaming cups of entertainment in the very first episode of this sizzling hot new season! of Hotstar Specials Koffee With Karan S7 Catch the first episode on 7th July only on Disney+Hotstar." He added the hashtags #HotstarSpecials and #KoffeeWithKaranOnHotstar.


In the trailer, Karan Johar introduced the duo as "happily married couples, just not to each other".


The trailer shows Bhatt addressing Ranveer as "sakhi" (friends).

In a separate segment, Johar asked Bhatt who she shared a better "onscreen chemistry" with, presenting two options: Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan. As soon as she begins to speak, Singh interrupts saying "I will kill you" and begins to leave.

The trailers also shows Johar asking the duo to bust some myths about marriage, to which Bhatt replied, "There's no such thing as a suhagraat. You are just tired."

Bhatt, who recently announced her pregnancy, was also asked to talk about her marriage for 30 seconds. The "Raazi" actress misunderstood the question and started talking about Johar's wedding. Johar, however, intervened and corrected her. To this, Alia burst into laughter and Ranveer Singh was quick to dub her the "Genius of the year."

Starting July 7, 2022, show's episodes will be released exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar every Thursday.

In a trailer shared earlier, Johar gave a glimpse into the top-Indian celebrities who will grace the couch and ight for the coveted Koffee hamper. Besides Alia and Raveer, Kiara Advani, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Anil Kapoor, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor and Vijay Deverakonda will also appear on the talk show.
