Ali Fazal breaks silence on his absence from 'Fukrey 3'

The first look poster for the forthcoming comedy Fukrey 3 was revealed a few days ago. While many of the original cast members returned to reprise their roles, there was one notable absence. Ali Fazal, who portrayed Zafar in the previous two films, was absent from the poster. Many fans started questioning if he will appear in the third instalment of the comedy movie.

The actor reacted to fans' worries about his absence from the poster in a message to the media, confirming that he is not in the film. "So, Zafar aayega ya nahi? Baar baar, yahi puch rahe hain. Sorry, Saathiyon, iss baari nahi!

He also stated that his devotion to Mirzapur, in which he portrays the lead character Guddu Pandit, is keeping him away from the third instalment of Fukrey.


The actor did imply that he would return in the future, which could mean that Fukrey 4 is in the works. The actor stated that once a fukra, always a fukra, thus he is constantly around. But the actor won't be appearing in the third instalment of the Fukras, Bholi, and Panditji! The actor also stated that he would have liked to be a part of it, but time and scheduling constraints prevented him from doing so. Ali hinted at returning at some point in time maybe sooner than anticipated. Ali concluded by saying that he will return after a brief break to delight the audience.

Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chaddha, Manjot Singh, Varun Sharma, and Pankaj Tripathi appeared in Fukrey, which was released in 2013.
