Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi join hands for “Welcome 3”, say reports

The third instalment from Welcome franchisee is all set to hit floors soon. According to a report, the third film of the welcome series will retain Akshay Kumar in the lead. The Munna Bhai MBBS duo Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will also join the film.

This comedy drama is expected to start rolling during the last phase of ‘Hera Pheri 3’ or as soon as Hera Pheri 3 opens in theatres. The director of the film has not been finalised yet.

Earlier, the producer of the film Firoz Nadiadwala spilled the details of the most awaited comedy packed film. He revealed that ‘Welcome 3’ will be called ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and it will retain wit, humour and entertainment of the franchisee. The third part will be big on action and will make use of heavy weapons and aircraft carriers.


‘Welcome 3’ will be the first Indian film to use the ‘Huey’ helicopter. This movie will witness production on a scale that Indian cinema has never seen before.

Firoz also expressed the desire to make Welcome 3 the best entertainment cinema. He added that the end of the movie will have a patriotic twist. Most of the movie will be shot in Jammu & Kashmir or parts of Europe with thick forest cover.

‘Welcome’, the first movie in the series, debuted in 2007 and featured prominent performances by Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, and Mallika Sherawat. The movie broke numerous records and became a blockbuster. The second iteration of the film, ‘Welcome Back’ was released in 2015 with John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Shruti Haasan, Paresh Rawal, and Naseeruddin Shah in leading roles.
