Fans are anxiously anticipating the release of Ajith Kumar's upcoming film, reportedly titled AK 62. However, Lyca Productions has not made any announcement thus far concerning the project. Industry insiders indicated that there are various causes for the delay in the official announcement.

Apparently, Ajith and the producers do not want to make an announcement with the title 'AK 62,' but rather wait for the official title to be released. AK 62 has been affiliated with Vignesh Shivan, and now that he is no longer a part of the production, the crew felt that the film should be launched with the appropriate title.

Ajith Kumar returned to Chennai from London on February 15, and director Magizh Thirumeni has also returned. Reports indicated that Ajith wants more action to be incorporated into the film and Magizh is revising the screenplay. Though the team desired a Diwali release, it does not appear like they would be able to do so since Magizh required time to revise the script and finish pre-production. As a result, there is also a delay on that front.

Ajith admirers are expecting that Lyca Productions would make the announcement soon since with Vijay's Leo making news on a daily basis, audience interest in AK 62 may suffer. They also want the film's title to be 'Vera level'.

Thunivu, Ajith Kumar's recent film, has earned more than Rs 250 crore at the global box office, making it one of the largest Tamil successes in recent years. Varisu, the second Pongal release, also did well at the box office. Both films were successful when they were released in January during Pongal. Thunivu is a money-heist story with a strong social message, whereas Varisu is a family entertainer.
