Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Singham 3’ to release on Diwali in 2024

Ajay Devgn will star in the third instalment of the Singham franchise, which will be directed by Rohit Shetty and is scheduled for a Diwali 2024 theatrical release. The previous instalment, which was released in 2014, grossed over Rs. 140 crore at the box office.

Although there has been no official announcement regarding the release date of this cop drama hence, it is reported that the film will have a Diwali release next year.

Previously, director Rohit Shetty stated that the film will begin production in April 2023. Deepika Padukone, who previously collaborated with Shetty on Chennai Express and Cirkus, also appears in the film.


Deepika is set to appear in Fighter, her first collaboration with Hrithik Roshan, following Pathaan. She also has a project with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan called Project K.

According to reports, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh will make cameo appearances in Singham 3, bringing together Rohit Shetty's cop universe of Simmba, Singham and Sooryavanshi.

The plot of Singham 3 is said to revolve around the issue of Pakistan-backed cross-border terrorism, with Ajay Devgn reprising his role as the valiant Maharashtrian cop.

Back in January, Ajay Devgn confirmed the news about Singham 3. Devgn wrote on Twitter that “god willing, this will be our 11th blockbuster.”



Following the failure of big-ticket films at the box office, Bollywood has recently placed a large bet on sequels and franchise films. According to film trade analysts, films such as Bhool Bhulaiya 2 and others, performed well at the box office due to their brand recognition.
