Air India crew member shot dead by bike-borne men in Noida in broad daylight

The incident occurred near the Sector 104 market in Noida around 2.30 PM. The victim was shot by assailants when he came out of a gym and sat in his car.

A crew member of Air India, aged 30, was fatally shot by unidentified bike-borne assailants near a high-end market in Noida on Friday, as per the police. The victim, identified as Suraj Mann, is believed to be involved in a gang rivalry, which could be the motive behind the murder.

The incident occurred near the Sector 104 market when Mann left a gym and sat in his car. The attackers arrived at the scene and one of them fired a shot in the air before shooting Mann. The police were informed about the incident at approximately 2.30 pm, and a team was dispatched to the crime scene. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Mann succumbed to his injuries.

Mann, who worked as an Air India crew member, resided in the nearby Lotus Panache society. The police have sent the body for post-mortem and are in contact with Mann's family. An investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators.


As per a PTI report, some members of Mann's family have a criminal background, but Mann himself had no involvement in criminal activities. The police suspect that the murder may be a result of the ongoing gang rivalry.

Mann's elder brother is currently in jail in Delhi, accused of murder, and it is believed that the rival gang targeted Mann due to his family connections. The police are also exploring the angle of gang rivalry in their investigation.

As per reports, the incident that took place during the daytime in the upscale neighborhood. Mustafa, a fast food cart owner in the market, told PTI that Mann frequently visited the Any Time Fitness gym. According to Mustafa, after leaving the gym and sitting in his car, Mann was suddenly attacked by three men on a motorcycle. One of them fired a shot in the air, while the other shot at the car's window. The assailants fired around eight to ten rounds before fleeing the scene.
