AILET 2026 results declared: NLU Delhi releases scorecards, check category-wise exam participation and download steps

The National Law University (NLU), Delhi, has declared the results of the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026 on its official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their scorecards online by logging in with their registered credentials.

The entrance test, for admission to the five-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme, was held on December 4, 2025, between 2 pm and 4 pm, across 47 examination centres spread over 36 cities in the country. It witnessed strong participation with as many as 23,960 candidates registering for this undergraduate law course, while 22,532 candidates actually appeared for the test. Female candidates formed the majority among test-takers, with 13,537 women taking the exam. This was followed by 8,994 male candidates, along with one transgender candidate, reflecting a diverse applicant pool.

The postgraduate LL.M. programme also saw significant interest. A total of 3,257 candidates registered for the LL.M. entrance test, out of which 2,787 candidates appeared on the exam day. The participation numbers indicate steady demand for advanced legal education at NLU Delhi.


Looking at category-wise participation across both programmes, candidates from the General category accounted for the largest share. Around 15,686 candidates registered under this category, and 14,613 appeared for the examination. Candidates from the Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) category formed the next largest group, with over 5,000 candidates taking the test.

Scheduled Caste candidates recorded 2,825 appearances, while 771 Scheduled Tribe candidates appeared for the exam. The Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category saw 2,028 candidates writing the test. Under the horizontal reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), 161 candidates appeared across the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. programmes. Additionally, the LL.M. examination included participation from Kashmiri Migrant candidates, with all 11 registered applicants appearing for the test.

How to download AILET 2026 Results

To download the AILET 2026 scorecards, candidates need to visit the official NLU Delhi website and click on the relevant result link available on the homepage. After entering their login details, they will be redirected to a new page where the result can be accessed and downloaded. Candidates are advised to save a copy of the scorecard and take a printout for future reference.
