Ahmedabad’s Ishani Debnath scores a perfect 100 in all subjects in CBSE class 12 exams 2025

Ishani Debnath, a student from Delhi Public School, Bopal, has made a remarkable achievement by scoring a perfect 100 out of 100 in all subjects in the CBSE Class 12 exams.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results on Tuesday, revealing an overall pass percentage of 88.4%, which is a slight increase from last year's 88%.

This year, 16.9 lakh students appeared for the exams, up from 16.2 lakh in 2024. While the number of students scoring above 90% decreased slightly from nearly 1.2 lakh last year to 1.1 lakh this year, the number of students achieving 95% and above showed a small increase, rising from 24,068 to 24,867.


Once again, girls outperformed boys, with a 91.6% pass percentage compared to 85.7% for boys. The top-performing region this year was Vijayawada, which achieved a 99.6% pass rate.

Despite the slight dip in the number of students above 90%, the overall results reflect positive progress.
