According to police, more than 100 bodies were reportedly brought to the hospital following the crash.
Rescue teams rushed to the site immediately after the accident.
Officials said that six teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and two from the Border Security Force (BSF) have been deployed for rescue and relief operations.
The BSF also confirmed that two of its teams from the local frontier headquarters have been sent to the site. Additionally, personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), who are responsible for airport security, were among the first responders. They were joined by local fire brigade and police teams.
Authorities are still assessing the damage, and a detailed investigation into the cause of the crash is expected to begin soon.
