According to Assistant Sub-Inspector Vinod Parbatsinh, who filed the complaint with the Kalupur police, the incident unfolded near the Zakaria Mosque in Kalupur. It began when the police officers, along with TRB jawans, observed Ketan and Raman Dabgar riding their motorcycle on the wrong side of the road, reported TOI.
Upon being asked to produce their driver's license and other necessary documents, the accused duo was unable to comply. Consequently, the police issued a challan of Rs 1,500 for the traffic violation.
An argument ensued between the accused individuals and the police team. During the heated exchange, Ketan, one of the accused, took a drastic step. He broke the motorcycle's petrol pipe and ignited it using a lighter.
Setting a vehicle on fire is a serious criminal act, and as a result of their actions, Ketan and Raman Dabgar have been booked by the authorities. They will face legal consequences not only for the initial traffic violation but also for the destruction of their motorcycle.
