After Kantara's success, Rishab Shetty to work with Allu Aravind

Allu Aravind, father of South superstar Allu Arjun, wants to work the movie's actor and director Rishab Shetty. The two will work under the Geetha Arts banner.

Allu Arjun's father, Allu Aravind, has announced a movie with Rishab Shetty after the box-office success of Kantara. Aravind is a film producer in Telugu. The makers of Kantara recently dubbed it in other languages, including Telugu.

It has just over since the release of Kantara, and the action-drama has grossed above Rs. 175cr.

Now Allu Aravind, father of South superstar Allu Arjun, wants to work the movie's actor and director Rishab Shetty. The two will work under the Geetha Arts banner, as Aravind announced on Kantara's Telugu version success meet.


''I have asked Rishab to star in my next film under the banner of Geetha Arts, and he immediately agreed. So, once we lock an idea, we will reveal the details of the project," ETimes quoted him as saying.

Kantara, originally in Kannada, was recently dubbed it in other languages, including Telugu. Rishab has said there were no immediate plans to work on Kantara 2. He wants to take a small break before working on his next project.

Sources estimate the lifetime gross of Kantara to end at above Rs. 250cr. The Kannada version will contribute a significant chunk of the earnings. The Telugu and Hindi versions have also been quite successful. The two languages have had a cumulative gross of above Rs. 30cr in just six days since their release.
