After Microsoft and Google launched their AI-powered technologies, Opera has jumped on board and is planning to incorporate AI into its online browsers and content applications.

Opera revealed in an official blog post that it is integrating AI-generated content (AIGC) services into its PC and mobile browsers. The corporation is also taking measures to expand its existing AI programme into AIGC for its browser, news, and gaming products using its own solutions and new and existing partnerships.

Opera has also revealed a new feature for its browser’s sidebar. The ‘shorten’ tool, which is driven by ChatGPT, may be used to produce summaries of webpages and publications. The blog also includes a brief demo video that shows how ChatGPT will be incorporated into the browser. However, the new feature has not yet been made available to all users.

Song Lin, Co-CEO of Opera stated in a blog post that “Following the widespread interest in generative AI tools, we feel it is now time for browsers to step up and become the doorway to an AI-powered web”.
