Adipurush, featuring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, made an impressive debut at the box office, despite facing criticism online. The film amassed a staggering Rs 140 crore in global collections. Released in five languages (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada), Adipurush enjoyed a strong opening day and early estimates for day 2 indicate that the film continues to dominate, undeterred by calls for a ban and trolls.

Box Office Collection on Day 2

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush finally hit theaters on June 16 after facing several delays. Prabhas portrayed the character of Raghav (Lord Ram) in the film. After its release, a certain section of netizens heavily criticized the film for its subpar visual effects and cringe-worthy dialogues.

However, some viewers felt that Prabhas did justice to his role. The first-day figures showcased a phenomenal response to Adipurush in cinemas, with a global gross of Rs 140 crore. According to Sacnilk data, the film earned Rs 36 crore in Hindi, Rs 48 crore in Telugu, Rs 0.40 crore in Malayalam, Rs 0.70 crore in Tamil, and Rs 0.4 crore in the Kannada version. The total domestic box office collection reached Rs 85.5 crore.

Early estimates for day 2 indicate that the film continued to perform strongly, despite the criticism. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala's estimates suggest that Adipurush has already surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark globally within just two days of release. The Hindi version of the film reportedly earned Rs 37 crore. However, official figures are yet to be confirmed.
