Actor Sonam Kapoor gears up for King Charles III's coronation in London. All details

Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor is gearing up for performance at the upcoming coronation of King Charles III on May 7, 2023. Other performers at the coronation include several high profile celebrities, such as Tom Cruise, The Pussycat Dolls and even Winnie The Pooh.

According to a report published in Variety, Sonam, who resides in London with her husband Anand Ahuja and son Vayu, is scheduled to make an on-stage appearance to deliver a spoken word performance, introducing the Commonwealth virtual choir. This marks her first royal engagement.

While Tom Cruise and Winnie The Pooh have earlier participated in royal events, it will be Sonam Kapoor's first performance for the royals. In 1997, Cruise attended the funeral of Princess Diana. Winnie The Pooh had been to a garden party for children for Queen Elizabeth II's 80th anniversary at Buckingham Palace in 2006.

Additionally, a concert will be held on May 7 in celebration of the coronation.
