Actor Mahesh Babu shares heartfelt post on late mother Indira Devi's birth anniversary

Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu remembered his late mother Indira Devi on her birthday. Talking to Instagram, the actor re-shared a memory from 2021 and dropped ‘red hearts’ as the caption.

The actor’s mother passed away on September 2022. This is the first birth anniversary after her demise. Mahesh Babu has shared various memories of himself with his mother on social media.

On this special again, the actor took to Instagram and reposted a picture of himself holding his mother’s hand. Like every birthday, he posted a picture with his mother with the message,” Happy Birthday Amma, Grateful for you everyday” with red heart emojis.


Mahesh Babu lost his mother, Indira Devi on September 28 at a private hospital in Hyderabad. She was cremated at Mahaprasanthanam. Indira Devi is survived by her husband Krishna and children Mahesh Babu, Padmavathi, Manjula, and Priyadarshini.

While the Tollywood star was recovering from his mother’s demise, he also lost his father in 2022. Grief-stricken Mahesh Babu took a break from work for some time to mourn for his parents.

SSMB28 is to be released on January 13

On the work front, Mahesh Babu is set to announce his next film SSMB28 with Trivikram Srinivas. Actress Sreeleela will also be seen playing a key character in the film.

Mahesh Babu, Pooja, and Samyuktha Menon starrer SSMB28 is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 13, 2024. The first poster featuring Mahesh Babu's appearance was recently revealed on his birthday, surprising everyone.

The actors are also set to surprise the audience with their new avatars in the movie. According to reports, Mahesh Babu will reveal the film’s title on the birth anniversary of his father.

Although the Telugu actor is keeping the story of SSMB28 under wraps, reports suggest that National Film Award-winning Navin Nooli will be the editor for SSMB28, and National Film Award-winning music director S Thaman will compose the film’s music.
