Kangana Ranaut has complained that authorities have not yet compensated her after the demolition of her office property in Bandra, Mumbai, by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in 2020. However, she also said that she no longer seeks compensation for the demolition.

The actor revealed in an interview to ABP that she has not received the Rs 2 crore compensation that she had demanded after her office building was demolished in Mumbai on the grounds of it being an unauthorised construction.

Kangana said that the authorities were supposed to send evaluators at her property but that didn't happen, so she met the current Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde and requested for the evaluation to be done. "I do not want any more compensation, it’s fine," she added.

Why was Kangana Ranaut’s building demolished?

Kangana Ranaut had made some comments about the ruling Shiv Sena party of Maharashtra in 2020 post the mysterious death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Apparently as a result of her remarks, her office building in Mumbai, which was newly constructed, was demolished by the BMC. The actor arrived in Mumbai from her hometown on the same day and received Y-plus category security from the central government.
