Actor Jitendra Kumar returns as Abhishek Tripathi for Panchayat season 3; Amazon Prime shares first look

Famous Over-the-Top (OTT) series, Panchayat, will soon make a return with its much anticipated third season. A few weeks ago, actress Neena Gupta took to her Instagram to share a video showing wrap up of shoot for the next season. Amazon Prime, the streaming partner, too, took to Instagram to share the first look of the series with actor Jitendra Kumar who plays the role of Abhishek Tripathi, the Secretary of the Panchayat, on a motorcycle.

The picture also shows a few bags indicating the character's departure from the village Phulera. The post features another image which shows actors Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, and Bulloo Kumar who play the characters of Banrakas, Vinod, and Madhav respectively.

"We know the wait is unbearable, so we got you a lil something from the sets!" the Instagram post read.

Banrakas, Vinod, and Madhav can be seen seated on a bench against a wall inscribed with the words, "Thokar lagti hai to dard hota hai, tabhi manushya seekh pata hai" which translates toailures might hurt, but you learn from your failures".

Panchayat Season 2 was a massive hit. The series has so far received immense love from across the country. Notably, Prime Video made history at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, when they won the first-ever Best Web Series (OTT) Award for 'Panchayat Season 2'.

With 32 entries from 15 platforms in 10 languages, The award sought to recognise excellence in the OTT space.
