Rajasthan's Nikita scored 93.8 per cent in Rajasthan Board Class 12 Arts stream but tragically, the young achiever died weeks before the results were announced. A student at a government senior secondary school, Nikita died on March 20 with her family members citing different accounts of her illness, citing jaundice and severe diabetes, reports Times of India.

Nikita, a Class 12 student from Rawla tehsil of Ganganagar district, scored excellent marks but died just ten days before the results were declared. She was a student of Government Senior Secondary School, Rawla. Instead of celebrations, a pall of gloom hung over the family of Nikita who developed a fever while writing her exams.




Nikita's health deteriorated rapidly soon after completing her papers. She was taken for local medical care and later referred to a hospital in Bikaner, where she died during treatment.

Aced in exam, failed in life

While the results of Class 12 Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) brought immense joy and celebrations for many families, one household in Sri Ganganagar mourned a tragic loss. Nikita scored more than 90 percent in Arts stream but died just days before the results were declared.

Her parents, who work as daily wage labourers, are now left mourning a success their daughter never lived to see. Family members said that if she had been alive, her achievement would have been a moment of great pride and celebration.

This year, over 8.5 lakh students registered for the Class 12 board exams, out of which around 8.2 lakh appeared. The Arts stream had the highest number of candidates at nearly 6 lakh, followed by Science with about 2.3 lakh students and Commerce with over 30,000 candidates. Girls outperformed boys across most streams. In Science, 98.34% of girls passed compared to 97.02% of boys. In Arts, 98.29% of girls cleared the exam, while 96.68% of boys passed. In Commerce, boys slightly edged ahead with a pass percentage of 94.04%, compared to 92.82% of girls.

The Rajasthan Class 12 exams for the academic year 2025–26 were conducted from February 12 to March 11, 2026. Students can check their results on the official Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education website.
