Aaron Carter Death News: Coroner’s report reveals cause, manner of singer’s death; Details here

Singer and rapper Aaron Carter accidentally drowned himself in the bathtub after getting incapacitated due to a mixture of sedatives and gas used in spray cleaners which he inhaled, according to the coroner’s report which was released on Tuesday, April 18. The Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner reportedly said that the artist was found submerged and lifeless at the age of 34 in the bathtub at his house in Lancaster, California on November 5.

The authorities found the sedative alprazolam in his system along with the compressed gas difluoroethane. While the sedative is known to be sold under the brand name Xanax, the report stated that difluoroethane is commonly used as a propellant in air spray cleaners. According to the report, the gas can “induce feelings of euphoria when inhaled”.

Further revealing the manner of Aaron Carter’s death, the report stated that the mixture of both gas and sedative made him incapacitated in the tub which led to his drowning.


It is pertinent to mention that the autopsy was conducted on the day Aaron Carter was found dead last year. However, the final results were kept on hold until the toxicology tests were performed which reportedly take several months.

Aaron Carter was the younger brother of Nick Carter from Backstreet Boys. The 34-year-old was a former child star and global pop sensation. His hits included I Want Candy, Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) and That’s How I Beat Shaq among several others. Aaron Carter not only used to support the boy band Backstreet Boys on their tour but also had a successful career himself.
