Recently, a video of star batsman exchanging greetings with Pak pacer went viral amusing the fans in both countries.
The video has been shared by Pakistan Cricket Board. In the video, Afridi is interacting with Kohli and saying, "Aapke liye Duaen kar rahe hai ki waapis form mein aaye (We are praying for your comeback. Want to see you in form again)."
An obviously cheered Kohli responded by saying. "Take care, get well soon."
It was earlier reported that Pakistan Cricket Board had asked star pacer Shaheen Afridi to rest due to a knee injury.
Shaheen Afridi had suffered a right knee ligament injury while fielding against Sri Lanka in Galle.
Afridi is part of the squad and currently in the UAE, where all teams are practicing before the start of the tournament.
Virat Kohli too missed the tour of the West Indies during the Asia Cup 2022. After the short break, Kohli has made comeback and his first match will be against arch-rivals Pakistan on August 28.
Fans are hoping that Kohli will regain his lost form and will hit 71st international ton in this India-Pak match.
