Aamir Qutub went off to Geelong in Australia to complete his MBA from Deakin University, which was funded by his father. He applied to over 150 companies for a job but none responded. Aamir had plans of starting a business but he didn’t want to ask for money from his father again.

So, Aamir decided to take up any job that came his way to survive in Australia while studying for his MBA. After applying for dozens of jobs, he landed up at the Airport in Geelong as a janitor. He helped clean the airport on a 12-hour shift, four days a week. He would study during whatever break time he got but the strain of long working hours affected his studies. So he decided to deliver newspapers which began at 3 AM and got over at 8 AM, giving him the much-desired window for studying.

He however continued to search for opportunities and finally landed himself an internship at an IT company. He later, on completion of his studies, bagged a full-time job as an Operations Manager earning 5000 AUD. He reported to the General Manager, who later quit, and Aamir got the opportunity to lead the company as an interim GM. Aamir worked diligently and within a year he raised the company’s turnover by more than 300%.

While working at ICT, Aamir opened up a firm by the name of Enterprise Monkey in 2014. The company designed APPs and websites and operated in both Geelong and Melbourne. The proud recipient of the Australian Young Business Leader Award, Aamir’s business grew exponentially to reach a turnover of AUD 2 Million. Today his company operates in 4 countries.

Aamir is also the founding member of the Aamir Qutub Foundation which encourages new business ideas for people in India. Aamir is also a member of the Geelong Authority appointed by the Minister of Planning and is also the founding member of Pivot Summit which hosts digital conferences internationally. During the lockdown, Aamir founded "Angel Next Door", an outreach program by community members where citizens can provide help or reach for help discreetly.
