With more than 9,000 undergraduate seats yet to be filled, Delhi University has opened a two-day “mid-entry” window to give students another shot at securing admission for the 2025–26 academic session. The window, which began on August 8, will close at 4:59 PM on Sunday.

Applicants can submit fresh choices or update existing course and college preferences through the university’s portal after paying a non-refundable ₹1,000 fee.

The facility also allows certain candidates to fix errors — particularly those rejected in earlier rounds due to incorrect subject mapping, failing to meet programme-specific eligibility, or uploading invalid documents.

Candidates who did not receive any seat in the first two rounds can also make changes during this period. The admissions branch has cautioned that the third round of allocations, due next week, will be based strictly on data available at the August 10 deadline.

“Minimum marks and ranks in the third round may not match those of earlier rounds, and no grievances will be entertained,” the university stated.

So far, DU has filled 68,208 of its 71,624 undergraduate seats, with 35,889 students having confirmed their allotments. Vacancies remain in several science programmes and BCom courses at off-campus colleges, as well as in BCom and BCom (Hons) at Zakir Husain College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and Shyam Lal College.

The upcoming third round will cover both general admissions and the first lists for performance-based courses — including Music, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Physical Education — along with seats reserved under the ward quota.
