80,000 watched live as Anurag Dobhal aka UK07 Rider crashes SUV into divider; YouTuber revealed he 'survived five days without food'

Social media vlogger Anurag Dobhal, popularly known as 'UK07 Rider', has been admitted to an ICU after he crashed his Toyota Fortuner car during a livestream watched by more than 80,000 viewers. Anurag Dobhal is now in a life-threatening condition after his Fortuner crashed into a divider on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) near Dasna on Saturday night. Viewers are now horrified as they saw him expressing feelings of isolation just moments before the crash.

The crash was livestreamed on Instagram, where Anurag Dobhal said that he was alone and overwhelmed and referred to a "final drive". During the livestream, Dobhal, one of India's best-known motovloggers and was also a contestant on Bigg Boss, spoke about his mother and said, "When I return in the next birth, please give me love." A Hindi song, "jisko jo bhi milta hai," was playing in the background. On Sunday morning, the YouTuber was referred to a private hospital in Delhi after his condition deteriorated.

Anurag Dobhal accident

During the Instagram live session, Anurag Dobhal, who enjoys a massive followers on YouTube and Instagram through motorcycle vlogging, appeared visibly distressed. While driving his Toyota Fortuner SUV on the Delhi–Meerut Expressway, as the speedometer showed 140–150 kmph, he told viewers that he felt completely alone and had no one left to call, saying "Log hi nahi bache hai yaar jisko phone karu, let's go for a final ride." Moments later, he added, "And it's a goodbye," before accelerating the car and crashing it.

Moments before the crash, Dobhal pointed the camera toward the windscreen and the speedometer as the SUV picked up speed. The Fortuner then suddenly swerved towards the median and slammed into the barrier with tremendous force.

Surendra Nath Tiwari, DCP (rural), said police told Times of India they received information about the incident around 10.20pm. "He was headed towards Delhi from the Meerut side when his SUV crashed near Hawa Hawai restaurant, hit the divider and jumped into the other lane. The car flipped several times," he added. The crash was so severe that the vehicle was mangled and its wheels came off. "We suspect he was cruising at nearly 150-160kmph," the DCP added.

It is not sure whether Anurag Dobhal tried to attempt suicide and the police are investigating this angle. "We suspect he deliberately turned the vehicle towards the divider to cause self-harm," Tiwari said. By the time police learnt of the crash, Dobhal's friends had already moved him to a hospital. "We received information on the emergency helpline 112 from his friends."

One of Anurag Dobhal's followers, Ashish Chaudhary of Mehrauli in Ghaziabad, was among the first to reach the spot. Chaudhary said he had been following Anrag Dobhal for long and was watching the livestream when the crash occurred. "As soon as I saw the crash live, I rushed to the spot with my friends. Some passersby were already trying to rescue him. We pulled him out of the mangled car and took him to Subharti Hospital in Meerut. That was the nearest," he said.

Who is Anurag Dhobal?

Born in Uttarakhand, Anurag Dhobal has a massive social media fan base for his travel, lifestyle and biking content. He has also built his own fan community, "Brosena" and managed to capture the attention of the audience for his energetic on-camera style. His YouTube channel has nearly 8 million subscribers and his Instagram account about 7.6 million followers. He frequently featured his family in videos, including his wife Ritika Chauhan, mother Chandrakala, father Jagdamba and brother Atul, also known as Kamal Ink.

In the days leading up to the crash, Dobhal shared posts that raised concern among his followers. On March 4, he uploaded a nearly two-hour YouTube vlog, calling it his “last video”. In it, he said the recording was made in “deep mental distress” and after “five days without food”. He accused his parents, brother, and his brother’s girlfriend, Shreya, of ruining his life over his inter-caste marriage — Dobhal from a Brahmin family and Ritika with Rajput roots — and suggested he had been pushed towards “self-harm”.
