A 78-year-old man from Maharashtra fulfills his lifelong dream of seeing Mount Everest up close with the help of a pilot. The wife accompanied the man on this journey.

However, some people do everything they can to see the peak in some way or another, even when their health isn’t providing the required support. One such instance is a 78-year-old man from Maharashtra who fulfilled his lifelong dream of seeing Mount Everest up close. A pilot flew 17,000 feet above sea level with the elderly man and his wife and helped him fulfil his dream.
The helicopter pilot, Andy Thapa shared two videos on Instagram that show the elderly couple viewing Everest while walking on mountains with the helicopter parked behind them. The wife can be seen assisting her husband, who is using a walking stick.
Thapa informed in the first post that it was a tough decision to fly at 17,000 feet as oxygen levels get lower. However, on the insistence of the man’s wife, he decided to fulfil their lifelong dream of seeing Mount Everest up close. He wrote that the couple "dreamt dared and conquered."
The first video collected over 4 million views and 2 lakh likes after being shared on October 16. While responding to the video, the grandchildren corrected people by saying that this was "not his last wish!" and that it was "one of his lifetime wishes."
