'45-year age gap doesn't matter': 75-year-old UP man engaged to 30-year-old influencer after making reels together; wedding planned after Navratri

A 75-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh's Auraiya district has got engaged to a 30-year-old social media influencer, with the couple planning to marry after the Navratri festivities. Their 45-year age difference has drawn attention online, with their engagement video prompting both supportive messages and questions about their relationship.

Ramsughar, a resident of Ariyari village in the Sahar area, and Reena Rajput, who lives in Dayalpur under the Sadar Kotwali police station limits, reportedly exchanged rings at a beauty parlour in Auraiya about a week before the announcement, according to The Times of India. The wedding date has not yet been finalised, although both families have confirmed plans for the marriage.

Reena has said she is comfortable with the age difference and believes age does not matter in love. The couple is now preparing to begin their married life together.


According to The Times of India, Ramsughar said Reena had been visiting his home for around two years before their relationship grew stronger. His daughter, Radha, who creates content for YouTube, said Reena regularly visited their house and the family worked together on videos. Over time, Reena and Ramsughar developed affection for each other, she said.

Ramsughar's wife died about seven years ago, according to Radha. His daughter's account suggests the relationship developed over time through their interactions and shared video-making activities.

Their engagement announcement has sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some users have welcomed the relationship and described it as an example of love overcoming age differences, others have questioned whether the engagement could be a publicity stunt intended to attract views and increase their online popularity. However, these claims remain unverified.

The couple has not announced a final wedding date. Reena has said the wedding will take place after Navratri, while their families have confirmed that preparations are under way.
