₹300 crore+ in bank deposits, Kodaikanal land and ₹12.6 crore loan to wife Sangeetha; Check TVK chief Vijay's ₹600 crore assets

TVK President and Actor Vijay has declared total assets of Rs 603.20 crore in his election affidavit, including Rs 404.58 crore in movable assets with over Rs 213 crore in IOB Chennai bank deposits and Rs 198.62 crore in immovable assets such as Kodaikanal agricultural land. He has extended significant loans to family and trusts while reporting zero liabilities.

Actor Vijay’s Rs. 300 crore bank deposits

Mr. Vijay holds over ₹300 crore in bank deposits, with the single largest holding of ₹213.36 crore in an Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) account at Saligramam, Chennai. Treating this as bulk deposits of ₹3 crore and above, interest rates as on 31.03.2026 from the IOB website show two extreme scenarios.

For a short tenure of 7-14 days (callable) at 6.40%, the annual interest on ₹213 crore would be approximately ₹13.63 crore (pro-rated). For a long tenure of above 3 years at 5.00%, it would yield around ₹10.65 crore annually. Foreclosure charges for bulk deposits of ₹3 crore and above are 1.00% as per IOB rules. These deposits form a key part of Mr. Vijay’s interest income.


Mr. Vijay also holds fixed deposits across banks, including ₹25 crore in another IOB branch, ₹40 crore in Axis Bank, ₹20 crore in HDFC Bank, and ₹15 crore in State Bank of India.

Loans and advances given by Vijay

Mr. Vijay has extended significant personal loans and advances. These include ₹12.60 crore to his wife Sangeetha, ₹8.78 lakh to son Jason Sanjay and ₹4.60 lakh to daughter Divya Saasha. Other major advances are ₹3 crore to TVK General Secretary N Anand, ₹3.02 crore to his father S A Chandrasekar and ₹8.71 lakh to his mother Shoba Sekar. Mr. Vijay has also given ₹20 crore each to A L P Antonious Britto and the Kokilambal Educational Trust, and ₹5.84 crore to the Vidya Charitable Trust. Mr. Vijay declared zero liabilities and no dues to banks or financial institutions.

TVK Chief Vijay’s immovable assets including Kodaikanal land

Mr. Vijay’s immovable assets are valued at approximately ₹220 crore. These include agricultural land in Vattapatti village, Kodaikanal (two plots of 0.25 acres each valued at ₹20 lakh). Non-agricultural land in Porur, Saligramam and Neelankarai is valued at ₹22 crore. Commercial buildings in Parivakkam, Thyagaraya Nagar, Sholinganallur and Koppur are worth ₹82.82 crore, while residential properties across 10 locations including major holdings in Neelankarai, Saligramam, Mylapore and Egmore total ₹115.14 crore. These properties contribute to Mr. Vijay’s rental income.

Vehicles owned by actor Vijay & education qualifications

BMW 530 (₹80.54 lakh), Toyota Lexus 350 (₹3.02 crore), Toyota Vellfire (₹1.63 crore), BMW i7 (₹2.01 crore), Maruti Swift and a TVS XL Super bike. Jewellery includes 883 grams of gold and silver articles worth ₹15 lakh. Mr. Vijay reported no pending criminal cases, discontinued his BSc from Loyola College in 1992, and listed primary income sources as self-employment, interest and rental income.
