26 years of marriage, but no love? Nirahua says he never loved his wife, calls it a forced marriage

Bhojpuri superstar Dinesh Lal Yadav, known as Nirahua, has ignited controversy about his wife, saying he regrets his early marriage and wants his children to make their own life choices. In a recent interaction, the actor said he has been honest with both his sons and his wife about his feelings, and does not want his children to face the same situation.

‘I regret that’: Nirahua on early marriage

In a conversation with Digital Commentary, Nirahua said his parents arranged his marriage at a time when he wanted to focus on building his career. He said he has advised his sons to choose their partners on their own.

He said, “I told my sons that you should get married by your own choice. My parents forced me into marriage. I kept saying, please let me do something first. Let me become something. I do regret that. Your life partner should be someone you love. That did not happen in my case.”


The actor said this experience has shaped how he now thinks about relationships and personal decisions.

‘I never fell in love with my wife’: Narahua

Nirahua said he has been clear with his family about his feelings regarding his marriage.

He said, “I told my children that I was never able to love their mother. I have also told my wife that I never loved her. Yes, it is my duty that since my parents got us married, I am fulfilling that responsibility. I do feel guilty about it. That is why I will not do the same with my children. I will never tell them that they have to do things a certain way. I will not force them.”

He explained that while he continues to fulfil his responsibilities as a husband, he feels the emotional aspect of the relationship was missing for him.

No pressure on careers either, says actor

Speaking about his family, Nirahua said he has two sons and both are following different paths in the film industry. One is learning direction while the other is preparing to become an actor.

He said, “I first asked my children which field they wanted to go into, because I will not impose anything on them. My elder son said he wanted to pursue direction, so he went into direction. My younger one said he wanted to become an actor, so he entered this field. I told them to take proper training. I know that if you do something you truly like, you will do it well."

Nirahua's rumoured relationship with Amrapali

Alongside his candid remarks, there have long been rumours in entertainment circles about Nirahua’s close professional bond with Bhojpuri actor Amrapali Dubey. The two have worked together in several hit films and often appear together at public events, which has fuelled speculation about their relationship. However, neither Nirahua nor Amrapali has publicly confirmed any romantic link, and both have consistently maintained that their association is professional and based on mutual respect.
